Web browser that works?

As David pointed out, an overenthusiastic ports committer seems to
have removed netscape47-communicator from ports, thereby removing the
only web browser that works out of the box on alpha.  

If you know CVS, you can get it from the attic.
It would be REALLY nice if it could be restored.
