Hi. I'm a BSD idiot. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
I looked at BSD rc.d things. But you know I've never ran BSD - not sure why is good or bad compared to [Debian] linux. It looks like there may be allot I don't know even if I read it / tried to research it.
I'm trying to release the below in a way in which any BSD users can use if they so please. Maybe it's not worth showing others. see for yourself if that's an issue.
http://www.sourceforge.net/projects/xdm-options/
(an xdm "sample config" suite but complete "round trip": chooser, login, desktop chooser, xdm server: by menus no hacking req. is the release hope)
It needs /etc/inittab (launch X display by it's sh script).
It needs /etc/rc.d (start the xdm server by it's sh script).
I looked at BSD rc.d things. But you know I've never ran BSD - not sure why is good or bad compared to [Debian] linux.
Any advice?
