Hotkey/backlight/sound generic driver

Hi,

I am curious about the state of the "Hotkey/backlight/sound generic driver" project mentioned on the FreeBSD ACPI Project page at https://www.freebsd.org/projects/acpi/. The status shows "not done". Is anyone working on this?

I want to learn kernel/driver programming on FreeBSD and would like to volunteer some of my time and effort to the project. The "Hotkey/backlight/sound generic driver" is quite interesting as I run FreeBSD on a few laptops and have to endure the different ways of setting the same things (backlight, for instance) on different hardware. Is there anything here that I can help with? Apologies if this is a little vague.
