Yes, same here - unfortunately! But have you read the FAQ
(/usr/local/share/doc/rxvt-unicode/README.FAQ) about transparency?

Some extracts:

- transparency isn't officially supported in rxvt-unicode

-  if you can't get it working consider it a rite of passage

Anyway, I'll try to investigate the problem, but cannot promise to solve
it!
