  - Fix -Wundef.
  - FreeBSD has had endian conversion macros for a long time.  Axe the custom
    macros in this driver.
  - Fix typo in comment.
  - Fix various compilation warnings for gcc-4.2.
  - Use NULL instead of 0 for pointers.
  - Remove superfluous returns in functions returning void.
  - In sym_alloc_lcb_tags() return directly instead of jumping
    to a label which just returns.
  - Fix some spelling in comments.
  - Remove trailing whitespace.
