  Log:
  Revert to old ttyname_r behavior that when _ioctl() returns 0 (SUCCEEDED),
  return the buffer immediately.  This will permit ssh and/or PAM logins
  broken by previous commit.
  
  The (potential) underlying problem is still under investigation.
