Loading aic7xxx and st modules

Hey!
I'm using the aic7xxx driver with a linux mandrake in a machine where a
megaraid card is installed for hard drives and an adaptec 39160 card is
installed for driving a tape library

The scsi_mod is loaded at startup at the top of the scsi modules

For the hard drives (raid 5) :
The sd_mod (for hard drives) is loaded depending from the scsi_mod
the megaraid module is loaded depending from the sd_mod

For the tape only the aic7xxx is loaded automatically (the st module is not
loaded). Is it normal ?
Have I to load this st module ? If yes how can I explain to aic7xxx to load
the st module first (normaly the aic7xxx is depending from the st
module)using an option of modprobe for example?
