my experience with those particular drives haven't been too great, there are
problems in DVL0, your best bet is to send and email to "Xeon_Li ]at[
maxtor ]dot[ com", I ended up sending my drives back and getting a pair of
Seagate drives, im supposed to be installing this weekend, but initial tests
ran for a few hours with no signs of a problem (but that was a quick and
basic setup, not even vinum on it).

also post your problem to maxtor.custhelp.com, they are very bad but at
least let them know there is someone else with a problem with these drives,
my advice is, don't let it sit for more than 3 days and to every reply they
send make sure you reply or it will be cleared off there system (mine was,
lucky I saved the page locally for reference).
