more scsi woes

Need I say more? It was the cable that came with the silly little
scanner! The cable from my nice li'l ole' scsi zip drive works much more
nicely!

Thank you for all your help, I'm sorry that you looked strangely at kernel
messages that made no sense only due to a faulty cable!
