ASC-19160

We have been offered rack-mounted servers with Adaptec ASC-19160
controllers. I am not familiar with this card, and the Adaptec web site
isn't very detailed either, but the list of OS does *not* include Linux
(unlike a similar list for the 29160). So I have a few questions:

Is the card based on the aic7xxx?
Does it work with Linux? 
Any other comments about this card?
