Hi-
I looked around google web and usenet archives and didn't find an answer.
If there's a faq I didn't find that addresses this issue, please let me
know.
I have a number of SiliconRax boxes (uniprocessor and smp) for which I'm
trying to set up a vanilla 2.2.19 smp kernel. The storage subsystem works
fine on vanilla 2.2.18 and RedHat's 2.2.12-20, but I need the vm fixes found
in 2.2.19. I compiled this so many times that I need to put the info in a
table. All compiles used the aic7xxx as a module. When the kernel failed,
a message about not being able to mount the root fs was printed and
panicked.
compiler 6.1.13 maxmem fw bld cpus worked

Also, 2.4.5-ac1{3,4,5} built with gcc-2.96RH,
CONFIG_AIC7XXX_BUILD_FIRMWARE=y, and 4GB of BIGMEM works fine on the 1xPIII
800.
All Adaptec firmware is 2.20 S1B1.
Any ideas? Any other info I can provide?
Thanks,
Jeff Busch
