Followup to previous message:
I now have a case where
echo scsi add-single-device 0 0 4 0 > scsi
succeeded in adding back the lost device (caused by a timeout)
BTW, I also get many msgs like:
Jan 13 18:42:13 lorena kernel: (scsi0:A:1): async, 16bit
Jan 13 18:42:13 lorena kernel: (scsi0:A:1): synchronous at 20.0MHz, offset
0x3f,
I assume they are for debugging of the transfer speed detection and I can
just ignore them.
