Hi,
i looked for a list archive on the freebsd website before posting but
didn't see one so please forgive me if i'm beating a dead horse here...
i have an adaptec 29160 card and quantum atlas ultra160 drive. i'm
running linux kernel 2.2.16. i noticed that with 2.2.15 the aic7xxx
driver reported a transfer rate of 40 Mb/sec during system bootup. after
i upgraded to 2.2.16 this number went up to 80. a web search turned up
diffs for freebsd to get the transfer rate up to the full 160 mb/s and i
was wondering if the next revision of the linux patch will include
similar improvements. i visited doug's site but didn't see any mention
of it.
ps: i honestly don't know what patch version i'm using b/c i have a
custom kernel installed right now that allows me to run trelos win4lin.
thanks,
brian
