odd data length problem

Hello Doug,
i am trying to use a SCSI-device which is not 100% scsi-compliant. (A
Nokia Mediamaster Set-Top-Box). Until kernel 2.2.10 (aic7xxx.c version
<= 5.1.10) the device gets recognised correctly and there aren´t any
scsi related error messages.
But with newer aic7xxx.c versions the boot process ends with end endless
loop and boot msgs something like that:
sg[0] ... have seen dataphase ... data length=255 ... blah blah
The point is that the aic7xxx is sending/receiving a odd data length,
but the Set-Box is only able to handle even data lengths.
So could you please tell my the line in the sources where this data
length is defined, so that i can build a patched kernel for my
set-top-box?
Thanks in advance,
Christian
