I think the Netfinity uses the same chip as the ARO-1130 Raidport
card. Dont't quote me on that, but if it is the case, the aic-7xxx
doesn't support it. I think I saw Robert Brown explain in another
post that sequencer code is uploaded to the card at boot up.
In my trying to get the ARO-1130 Raidport to work, I was told
that this would kill any arrays. For this reason, the driver
refuses to work with the ARO-1130. As far as i can recall,
the chip on the ARO-1130 is the aic-7810 or the aic-7815.
BTW, the aic-7810 will be used in conjunction with an aic-7880,
so both chips should appear on the raid controller.
I was very interested to hear the IBM announcement that they would
support Linux on these boxes for this reason.
