I've tried the new driver on my linux 2.0.36 system and AIC7770 EISA
adapter. I was complaining about the unset disconnect flags. The new
driver not only that it didn't cure my problem, it also broke the
negotiation stuff. My HD, which previously negotiated to do the sync
transfers at 10MHz now negotiated async transfers.

For details see the two attachments, one with 5.1.14 driver and the other
with 2.0.36 stock driver (5.1.4).
