support for AIC7890 built into a 2.0.x kernel?

Hi,

I don't like to play with experimental stuff cuz when something breaks I'm
never sure where the real problem exists. I was wondering when support
for the AIC7890 would be part of a stable kernel version. . . Is that in
the distant future? Should I bite the bullet and just try the patch with
2.0.35? I have a beautiful ASUS P2B-S just waiting to kick some ass, but
I want to be sure I won't lose data or something horrible because the
driver was premature.

Can someone reassure me of the driver's stability?

      Thanks,
	-Jon

Oh, BTW, where can I get it?
