AHA-2940U2W support?

I saw mention of this in the mailing list archives, but the links seem to
be a little screwed up right now.

What's the status on support of the u2w cards?  I just got a nice new
machine at work with one of them, and wanted to put linux on that box, but
the aic7xxx driver on the boot.img disk for redhat 5.0 doesn't detect it.

In progress?  Working?
