driver 5.0.14 randomly freeze with 2.0.33

I sometimes (about once every 2 or 3 days) a hard lockup since I use
5.0.14 driver, they happen mostly in X when using netscape...
Maybe a deadlock somewhere... Even when it locked in text mode, everything
was frozen, no message...

The card is a 2940UW reported has: Adaptec AIC-7881U (rev 1)
The system wasn't freezing when I had a BusLogic (alas it died, hardware
failure and had to replace it fast...)
I have a AMD K6-200 with 64 megs RAM if it make some difference...
