pb with Adaptec 2940 and 2920

Hi !

I've got some serious problem with two scsi cards:

The first one is an 2940 from adaptec bios v1.11
The message 'Host adaptater configuration error' occurs everytime
at the boot time. I mean when the pci bios is recognised...
The SCSISelect <Ctrl-A> work perfectly so I tried several combinations
of
configuration, but it still giving me the same error message.

The other is an 2920 from adaptec bios v3.0
I've downloaded a litte file at adaptec site: Pcicheck.exe
which is only for this card (2920).
It answer that the IRQ=0 and of course the IRQ test always failing.
Is there any soft which can control the bios of the 2920 in order
to change the bad IRQ.

For the 2940 every advise will be welcome 'coz I herad that the 2920 is
not
recognised by Win95 even OSR2.

I forgot to say that when I connect a drive (CD-R HP 4020 for info)
the 2920 found it at the boot time (bios) but doesn't work in Win95.
And for the 2940 the drive is not recognised at all.
