The only reason I know of to dissable memory mapped I/O for a 7850 is
if it is behind a PCI-PCI bridge that prevents it from working.  This
was the case on many laptop docking stations.  The real fix is for
the PCI code to notice the buggy bridge and prevent memory mapped
I/O enable requests from succeeding.
