Hello

Now I have tried almost every version of the 5.0.x driver that is
availiable up to kernel 2.1.102 patched with 5.0.18. My 2940UW wont work
with any of them :-(

The only kernel I can get it working with is a vannilla 2.0.29...

when I try to boot a kernel with 5.0.x, I only get abort due to timeout
when it is scanning channel A for devices. It doesent matter if there
are any devices on the bus or not.
the output from dmesg under 2.0.29 is listed at the bottom of this
email.

My system is:
Intel Endaevor mainbord
Intel P100
48 MB ram
2x Quantum TRB850S HD (SCSI-2)
NEC 4x CDROM (SCSI-2)
Tandberg MLR1 Tapestreamer (SCSI-3, wide)
SMC EtherEZ networkcard
Eicon Diva ISDN card

the output from /proc/scsi/aic7xxx:
