Weirdness of little consequence with aic7xxx-5.1.0-pre5-2.0.35.patch

Using Linux-2.0.35 with aic7xxx-5.1.0-pre5-2.0.35.patch.
On bootup, I get:

aic7xxx: Warning - detected auto-termination on controller:

Strange because it says it doesn't detect my external cable, yet then I
get:

So it still detected my *external* ZIP drive...

Go figure.

BTW Anyone have any idea who I should ask to have the scsi-idle patch
incorporated into the Linux standard kernel?  It's getting to be a pain to
incorporate manually all the time (and I have a noisy disk that's only used
for nightly backup).
