The resetting is endless
This is also typical for when I attach a device (with scsi-add-single-device)
that needs or does not need parity. It does not help to reset the cdplayer
(turning it off and on). I get the impression that when a device fails to
do something, then this loop starts. I used to attach my (external) root disk
to the controller without any troubles. The driver just retried the operations
and it works. (And now I'm glad I temporarily fell back to using IDE).
Might this problem be fixed with 5.1.5? It is at least not yet available at
ftp.redhat.com/aic :(...
