AHA-2930 with Linux?

Ahhhh,

Thank goodness.... I'm not going bananas! The error you discribe is
IDENTICAL to mine....

Firstly, right or wrong, the procedure I used to back down the version of
the SCSI driver was simply 'rm -fr aic7xxx*' and 'cp -dpR' the older one
in.

Perhaps you can give me a more detailed breakdown of your hardware and
bios version numbers so we can compare notes and mabe find the cause.

I'm running a Supermicro P55T2S motherboard (Triton HX) with 80Mb RAM.
The SCSI bus connected to my aha2940U (Bios 1.21) has a Seagate baracuda
4Gb disk on it, I am using the auto termination(mabe it doesn't
terminate?)

The machines also has a VideoLogic GrafixStar 700 4Mb VRAM grafix card, as
well as an AWE32 and a NE2000....

Hope we can find a common factor! Even if that factor is just the
scanner! Mine is a HP5p.

Vortex Internet
20 years ago, people were switching from UNIX to VMS...
Now, everybody is switching from UNIX to Windows NT...
Am I the only one who sees what is happening here?
