[Bug 291212] x11/nvidia-driver: CURRENT fails to load kernel module due to commit 9562994a7aacee2baae6ddee1a7b558b48ae39ef

https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=291212 --- Comment #16 from O. Hartmann <ohartmann@walstatt.org> --- Just want you to know: after the past two days recompiling the whole X11 subset of ports including requirements/dependencies and those for the x11/nvidia-driver (doing so with portmaster -df ...) and recompiling the whole OS first with deleting /usr/obj/* first, this afternoon after loading nvidia-modeset the box showed the xdm requester as expected! I can only guess: either the kernel has been a kind of fixed until now causing this issue (16.0-CURRENT #6 master-n282239-57c0a337dbc5: Sat Nov 29 09:07:33 CET 2025 amd64) and/or my xorg suite has been out-of-sync causing a hang in the Xorg server (which was eating up 100% WCPU in top and causing a hang after trying to issue "reboot" or "shutdown -r now" - had to switch off/on physically). This is gone now. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug. You are the assignee for the bug.
