Tried rebuilding x11/nvidia-kmod-devel with LINUX option disabled.
nvidia-modeset.ko still fails to load with seemingly unrelated reason with
linux*.ko.

Will look into and try to fix.

But if the root cause is in binary only part and no knob to control the
behavior can be found in open source part, only nvidia can fix it.
