Well, yes, it seems to know it but at least here it doesn't make use of it.
It even complains in Xorg.0.log:

(WW) modeset(0): Option "DRI" is not used

I then even added your HotPlug option and now it complains about this as well:

(WW) modeset(0): Option "HotPlug" is not used
(WW) modeset(0): Option "DRI" is not used

And xdriinfo still fails:
failed to authenticate magic 1
failed to load driver: iris
Screen 0: zink

I am on freebsd-drm-kmod-6.1.92-drm_v6.1.92_2 but the rest is the same as
yours.

In my dmesg I find:
