I hear you.  I have been running stable/14 for months and drm-61-kmod, and it
works like a charm here.

I have no doubt that this fixes the main problem, the only pending thing was to
be sure that the change causes no new crashes, as manu@ hinted at that on
-CURRENT.  I still have to try with a recent -CURRENT (this is the "extra test"
I mentioned above).
