1/ I (and a lot of other) don't like commiting format change and fix at the
same time.
2/ Also I'm not commiting a patch with 'Charlie Root <root@tetra.local>' as the
author.
3/ You need to explain in the commit message *why* it's needed (vishwin
explained in #286361).
