Quite unfortunate for you, but nothing is intentionally removed from upstream
FreeBSD driver package on ports side.

Everything (related with built locally and provided pre-built binaries) dropped
is provided by other ports like graphics/egl-wayland and graphics/libglvnd,
some of which are mapped with libmap. For at least graphics/egl-wayland, every
binaries built via MAkefile for FreeBSD are installed.

These means, your issue would be on nvidia side. AFAIK, currently nothing
possible in ports side.
