Thanks, but this doesn't help.
I tried your config and I still get the same results: the touchpad 
partially works (i can move the pointer and left click, but I cannot 
right click or double click).

In fact I don't have hald installed.
AFAICT that's obsolete and was even removed from the port tree.

I tried with and without and nothing changed.
