Hey FreeBSD Wireless Folk, I replaced my aging wireless AP with a new make/model. I kept the same underlying SSIDs as what was configured on the old router. On my laptop, I run lagg failover with ue0 (framework laptop) and wlan0. I have wpa_supplicant configured with the BSSID set explicitly. After updating to the new BSSID, restarting wpa_supplicant, and everything still worked flawlessly. As if nothing ever happened, not even a reboot of the laptop (to be painfully verbose: no reboot occurred). I don't think the wireless network stack could have survived this kind of change while the laptop remained online just ten years back. The performance and stability of the wireless networking stack has improved drastically over the past few years. For all those involved in getting FreeBSD to this state: a sincere and heartfelt thank you. Between developers, testers, advocacy, funding, etc. everyone involved plays a role. The actors on stage have no play if the stage crew's not present--and the stage creew have no play if the actors are absent.) Keep up the good work.
