Thank you for your reply, and attention to this, Bjoern!

I did, just after posting this. I'm now on
16.0-CURRENT-amd64-20260302-5d9b185c33ae-284268.
*but* experience(s) are equal to what I reported here:

Mar 7 12:03:50 amdfbsd syslogd: last message repeated 30 times
Mar 7 12:04:02 amdfbsd syslogd: last message repeated 13 times
Mar 7 12:04:02 amdfbsd kernel: rtw890: no tx fwcmd resource
Mar 7 12:04:02 amdfbsd kernel: rtw890: failed to send h2c
Mar 7 12:04:04 amdfbsd kernel: rtw890: read rf busy swsi
Mar 7 12:04:04 amdfbsd syslogd: last message repeated 1 times
Mar 7 12:04:04 amdfbsd kernel: rtw890: no tx fwcmd resource
Mar 7 12:04:04 amdfbsd kernel: rtw890: failed to send h2c
Mar 7 12:04:06 amdfbsd kernel: rtw890: read rf busy swsi
Mar 7 12:04:06 amdfbsd syslogd: last message repeated 1 times

until I reboot. This is caused when setting lid close to suspend.
This does NOT occur if I don't start my DE and remain at the console.
In this case I only receive random:

Mar 7 11:56:11 amdfbsd kernel: rtw890: read rf busy swsi

with or without lid close.

I haven't done anything more than add the comms/rtlbt-firmware port.

I didn't, but should have mentioned, this is an M.2 RTL8859BE wifi/bt card.
In an effort to limit variables. I'm on a GENERIC kernel as shipped. Because
I'm
chasing current I always boot verbose. I can boot a debug kernel at any time
if needed. I can also send you a dmesg.boot or (verbose) messages as desired.
I'm happy to build a kernel/driver/firmware to your needs if desired.

Thanks again!
