(a) as per man-page:
We observe various stability issues leading up to driver crashes and
kernel panics with the current set of chipsets at least in combination
with linuxkpi_wlan(4).
(b) if you are doing this from the console (Ctrl+Alt+F1) and are using a debug
kernel, could you try doing a boot verbose at least? Otherwise we may have to
enable LINUXKPI 80211 debugging and see where this thing goes kaboom and why.
