Just a quick comment:  the speed is expected.  It's being worked on in the next
6 weeks most likely after 15.0 but in time for 14.4-R (is the hope).

The auth issue (in section 4 of the PDF) seems to be similar to what Oleg was
reporting; see this sub-thread:

The release notes should have a comment about this.
