Nope, the section in the FreeBSD primer that says to write it the exact way I
wrote it dates back to before I started contributing.

You showed yourself in that thread that 176 manuals are written the way I wrote
it, vs just under 400 are written the way you insist and changed it to.

If you want to rudely strong arm it out of seniority, that's fine, but you will
not continue to mischaractarize my behavior in public unchallenged for weeks
after the fact.
