Okay cool :) Fun observation: In a desperate attempt to get out of this trouble, I changed the wifi config in BIOS (well, firmware, really) from 'Default' to 'Fallback'. Something about signal strengths and regulartory regions and such. Those are the only two choices - but it seems in 'Fallback' mode, none of the HT/VHT stuff works at all and I never get network. In 'Default' mode at least it comes up, as described. It does not seem to affect operation without superspeed-wifi enabled.. >> I'm now back on 11g/11a, and even here I'm limited to 1Mbps(!) >> according to the ifconfig output. I think my Ubiquiti/Amplifi is messing with me again. Ignore this part of my report, sorry about the noise. /Eirik
