Connecting and using is two different things.

What does
 	ifconfig -v wlan0
say?

What does
 	ifconfig -v wlan0 list chan
say?

What does
 	ifconfig -v list scan
say?

Did you reboot?

> % sysctl compat.linuxkpi.iwlwifi_disable_11ac

And iwlwifi_11n_disable, does that unset if you check the sysctl?
