Running a QCNFA765 wireless adapter

Hello,

I recently ordered a Lenovo Thinkpad P14s Gen 5 (arriving in 5-6 weeks
yippee thanks Lenovo) with a Qualcomm QCNFA765 wireless adapter. It
should need the ath11k driver, and from what I saw here
https://www.freebsd.org/status/report-2024-07-2024-09/wireless/, it's
still a WIP.

So I wanted to know if there were any updates, if wifibox was a
reliable enough solution (I saw an issue where a user seems to have
some problems while running the exact same adapter) and if it was
really usable in a laptop: having a vm running constantly and doing
some networking, even if it's Alpine, should put some strain on the
battery, no?

Also the wireless adapter is SOLDERED (thanks again Lenovo), so
changing it is not really an option, although there is a WWAN slot,
b-keyed I believe where I could in theory put an adapter, but it lacks
USB 2.0, so no bluetooth for me. In the last resort I could use a USB
wifi thingy, but I believe that those have support as good as they're
reliable.

Thanks for any answers you could give me.

PS: No, even though the laptop arrives in an eternity I won't cancel
the order to get a "supported" laptop. I also really like to be
forced to run CURRENT just for the iGPU to work.
