The Internet says that one should try the Broadcom "wl" driver for
this card.  This is not part of the `wifibox-brcm` package.  But the
`net/wifibox-alpine` port has the non-default `XX_DRIVER_WL` option
[1] that one could configure and build manually [2].  By version
`20230926`, I was able to make Broadcom cards work with the `wl`
driver so there is some chance.

Thanks,
Gábor

GhostBSD  MATE Desktop download, https://ghostbsd.org/download "latest
build" version.

You could try GhostBSD via Live Media by booting from a USB flash drive

Then use ethernet cable to connect Internet and  pkg install wifibox on
your T430,  Share how it goes for you.

You might have to install GhostBSD to an eternal SSD or 128GB USB Flsh
drive.

I ran GhostBSD for 6 months using a Metal Samsun 128GB USB 3.0 Flash
drive stick, that I installed GhostBSd using the GBI GhostBSD Install
utility

I have a t430 Lenovo laptop  with Intel Centrino 6205 wifi,  maybe buy a
cheap PCI Half Height WIFI Card and install to your T430, replacing the
BCM43228 card.
