synopsis: some libraries in /usr/lib were/are not fully built and/or installed
properly on some installs here. 

libibcm*
libibverb*
libmlx*

and /or libibverbs.so existed without libibverbs.so.1
also libmlx5.so.1 did not exist. [before this workaround ]
