i don't use Hyper-V anymore, but i'll see if i can find a way to test this on
main and see if the issue is still present.  

to be clear, in my case the problem only occurred with -O0, a normal build
wasn't affected. the backtrace of Titus looks a bit different since it doesn't
reach hv_hid_probe() (unless this is an optimiser artefact).
