Thanks for testing -- indeed, reproducing the original issue seems difficult (I
was never able to reproduce it myself).  But my contacts at Amazon say that we
should definitely use kvmclock where it's available, so I'm inclined to trust
them in the absence of evidence to the contrary.

Do you have any existing instances where you're seeing the issue which you
might be able to upgrade to HEAD to test this?
