Hmm on my laptop there is a hidden menu in BIOS SETUP under the password
"toughkit" where you can set "Wireless WAN ID" to 15 in order to get the modem
running. Maybe this is the configuration number you are mentioning? What
happens when you set configuration 15?

Looks like these are more complex devices and some sort of diagnostics utility
would be helpful :-) Maybe the one from Linux but I do not have time right now
to play sorry :-(
