Just out of curiosity: What modem type is it? I used the Sierra EM7455. I had
to change the NVRAM settings to enable MBIM but apart from that, it always
worked ("always" means the 5 to 10 times I tried for a few minutes).

So at+cpin? didn't work? I had no problems using this (and all other commands)
on the Sierra EM7455.
