I have just tested this device booting a Linux memstick.

It does not work under Linux.  Same symptoms... just a second or two of audio
and then the device resets causing the headset to announce "Disconnected" then
"Connected".  In this case both playing from firefox sources as well as using
mplayer with the alsa driver.

I installed pulseaudio; in the Linux case, "pactl exit" did NOT fix the
problem.  

I have not managed to find a hack to get it to work under Linux.
