As I indicated even parsing the output line helps to figure some out.
But error codes and proper error messages do exist for that case.
We should just use it to avoid further workarounds.

A script probably would need to do a ls /dev/usb/ to see if there is any device
in first place to figure out if it is a permissions problem;  the reset -d 0.2
was probably a too specific example as how would I know it's 0.2 in that case
;-)

It still does not allow a user to use read-only operations (like listing) which
should be possible without su permissions.
