Can you confirm that adding UQ_MSC_NO_INQUIRY for that particular device with a
loader tunable is sufficient to make it work again, please?

e.g., something like:

hw.usb.quirk.0="0x196d 0x0201 0 0xffff UQ_MSC_NO_INQUIRY"
