I baypassed this error with my device "Conbee II" trough serial port bypass.

In case anyone has the same problem I solved it like this:

vboxmanage modifyvm homeassistant --uart1 0x2E8 3
vboxmanage modifyvm homeassistant --uartmode1 /dev/ttyU0
